Republic At War

Republic at War is an arcade-style game made by Tudor Mihalcioiu for the ROG Challenge 2024 Highschool Game Jam!

Story

You have been sent by the president to save an archipelago from a virus invasion. The republica that used to stand on the islands was quite unusual, the nation being divided based on the genre of games that the inhabitants played. You have to beat the people on the island on the very games that they used to love in order to save them from the virus!

Overview

Republic at War is composed of 15 levels, each featuring one of five different minigames. These minigames are as follows:

1) Rythm Game

2) Fighting Game

3) MOBA Game (not really)

4) Shooter Game

5) War Game

Each minigame features different mechanics which are explained at the beginning of the levels.

Republic at War is a game made in one month for the ASUS ROG Challenge 2024. I was introduced to this competition at high school and this game is the first serious attempt I've had at making anything game-development related. Hope you enjoy!
